Why this matters #
When creating a quote from the admin side, merchants often need to connect it with an existing Shopify customer. Instead of manually entering customer details every time, this new feature lets you fetch and assign customers directly from your Shopify store. This saves time, avoids errors, and ensures the quote stays linked to the right customer record.
How to use this feature #
- From your Shopify admin, open the Quotes Guru app.
- Go to the Quote Listing page.
- Click Create Quote.
- In the customer field, you’ll now see an option to Select a Shopify Customer.
- Choose the customer from your existing Shopify records.
- Continue filling out the rest of the quote as usual.

Example in action #
Imagine a repeat customer, John Doe, reaches out for a custom quote. Instead of typing his details again, you can quickly fetch John Doe from your Shopify customers list and directly create a quote linked to his account. This keeps all records consistent, and when you convert the quote into a draft order, it’s already tied to John’s customer profile.
