We’ve introduced a new feature that lets you add custom products directly from the admin panel while creating or editing a quote. This makes it easy to include items that may not already exist in your store catalog.
Why this matters #
Sometimes, merchants need to add products or services that aren’t part of their Shopify product list (e.g., special bundles, service charges, or custom offerings). With this feature, you can now add those items quickly without having to create a new product in Shopify.

Steps to Add a Custom Product #
- From your Shopify admin, open the Quotes Guru app.
- Go to Quotes listing > Create Quote or Quotes > Edit Quote.
- On the quote page, look for the Add Custom Products button.
- Click the button, then enter details such as:
- Product name
- Description
- Quantity
- Price
- Any additional fields required
- Save your changes. The custom product will now appear in the quote along with regular products.

Imagine you want to add a one-time setup fee or a custom service package. Instead of creating a new Shopify product, you can add it directly as a custom product within the quote, keeping your catalog clean and your process faster.
Notes #
- Custom products are only visible in the quotes where they are added.
- They won’t appear in your Shopify product catalog unless manually created there.
- You can combine custom products with existing products in the same quote.
